About Us
Invented by a Radiologist, PathProof allows for compression of tissue specimens with an alphanumeric grid, in addition to a snap-
on lid that is leak-resistant to bodily fluids. As a single device used in Surgery, Radiology and Pathology, PathProof allows for
safer needle localization procedures, saving time and money for the healthcare facility.
SURGERY
Leak resistant container enables safe transport of tissue specimens and for inking of margins.
RADIOLOGY
Alphanumeric grid compresses and defines the area of interest on the X-ray image.
PATHOLOGY
Grid localization identifies the exact lesion location for sectioning and histologic analysis. Functions as a storage device.
Instructions For Use
SURGERY RADIOLOGY PATHOLOGY
SURGERY:
Remove PathProof™ lid.
Remove adjustable stabilizer plate using thumb tabs.
Insert specimen into the container.
Using thumbs to press on inner tabs, reinsert the adjustable stabilizer plate to lightly secure specimen. Do not compress the stabilizer plate to cause the specimen to protrude through the grid, doing so may compromise the specimen’s reading.
Securely replace the PathProof™ lid to minimize leakage during transport.
Label the top of container with patient information.
Transport PathProof™ to Radiology.
RADIOLOGY:
Verify specimen is securely in place and not protruding through the grid.
With the PathProof™ lid intact, take image.
Secure lid and transport PathProof™ to Pathology.
PATHOLOGY:
Remove PathProof™ lid.
Remove stabilizer plate using thumb tabs.
Process specimen and place back in container with lid, for storage.
