PathProof

Invented by a Radiologist

One container, for Surgery, Radiology and Pathology.

PathProof™ compresses and transports tissue specimens through every department with a single device. An alphanumeric grid enables precise localization, and a snap-on, leak-resistant lid keeps handling safe from start to finish.

About Us

Built to move safely between three departments, as one device.

Invented by a radiologist, PathProof™ allows for compression of tissue specimens with an alphanumeric grid, in addition to a snap-on lid that is leak-resistant to bodily fluids. As a single device used in Surgery, Radiology and Pathology, PathProof™ enables safer needle localization procedures, saving time and money for the healthcare facility.

Surgery

A leak-resistant container enables safe transport of tissue specimens and clean inking of margins, right from the OR.

Radiology

The alphanumeric grid compresses the specimen and defines the area of interest directly on the X-ray image.

Pathology

Grid localization identifies the exact lesion location for sectioning and histologic analysis, and doubles as a storage device.

Instructions For Use

The same container, from the OR to the slide.

One workflow, three departments. Step through what happens to PathProof™ at each stage of the specimen's journey.

  1. 1

    Remove the PathProof™ lid.

  2. 2

Remove the adjustable stabilizer plate using the thumb tabs.

  3. 3

Insert the specimen into the container.

  4. 4

Using thumbs to press on the inner tabs, reinsert the stabilizer plate to lightly secure the specimen. Do not over-compress: protrusion through the grid may compromise the specimen's reading.

  5. 5

Securely replace the PathProof™ lid to minimize leakage during transport.

  6. 6

Label the top of the container with patient information.

  7. 7

    Transport PathProof™ to Radiology.
